But I was unfaithful to the method. Or to what I take the method to be. I cannot hold my breath and cover my eyes at the same time. It defeats the point of it all. There is only so far teleology can take you. And by you I mean you and me or anyone. I knew what I wanted to know, but I knew that I wanted to know precisely because it could never be known.
They don’t want to fear their minds untold

Dream deeper now until you’re old
You cannot know something that is untrue. At least, you cannot know something you know to be untrue. And so I could not know the you I wanted to know because I knew that no holding of breath, no suspension, no époche in Greek or on any other tongue would lead me to the you that you are for you
